Cookie Policy

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. Alongside them sit local storage, session storage and pixels, which do much the same job by different means. This page calls all of them cookies and lists every one we use on webtrigo.com, in the dashboard, and on the preview sites we build and send.

It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what happens to the information after it is collected.

• We use cookies to keep you signed in, to remember settings, and to measure whether our pages work.
• We do not use advertising cookies that follow you to other websites, and we do not sell or share what we collect.
• Our measurement includes session recording, a replay of clicks and scrolling on our own pages. Section 5 says what it captures and section 8 says how to stop it.
• There is no consent banner, because none of this is advertising and no US state requires one for what we do. Notice and a working off switch are what we owe you instead.

Without these the site does not work. They cannot be turned off from here.

• Session and sign-in (next-auth.session-token, next-auth.csrf-token, and their secure variants). Keeps you signed into the dashboard and protects forms against cross-site request forgery. Deleted when you sign out.
• Preview access (a website identifier cookie). Set only when you open a preview site we sent you, so the right preview loads.
• Payments (Stripe: __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid). Set by Stripe on the checkout to spot fraud. We never see your card number.
• Infrastructure (Cloudflare). Routes traffic and blocks attacks.

• Language (NEXT_LOCALE). Remembers which language version of the site to serve.
• Appearance (theme, stored in local storage). Remembers light or dark in the dashboard.

PostHog (cookies and local storage beginning ph_). This is how we count page views, clicks and finished forms, so that “this page works better” is a number rather than an opinion. It is our own measurement, run for us, not an advertising network, and the data is not sold or shared.

The same tool records sessions. That means a replay of your visit: mouse movement, scrolling, clicks, and which pages you moved between, on webtrigo.com and on the preview sites we send. It is how we find out that a booking button was never seen, or that a form broke on one model of phone. What it does not capture: passwords, email addresses and phone numbers are masked before anything is stored, and we do not record your camera, your microphone or anything outside the browser tab.

Google Tag Manager. Loads our measurement tags. Where it loads Google Analytics, that sets _ga and _ga_ cookies to count visits.

Sentry. Collects error reports when something breaks, so we can fix it. It does not set advertising cookies.

Recordings and detailed analytics are kept for 12 months, then deleted.

• Tidio (tidio_state and related storage). Runs the chat widget and remembers a conversation between page loads, so you do not have to start again.
• Cal.com. Loads when you open a booking window, and handles the calendar and time zone for the call.

• No advertising or remarketing cookies that follow you around other websites.
• No selling or sharing of what these cookies collect. Nobody buys this from us.
• No cross-site profile of you built with anyone else's data.
• No fingerprinting to get around your browser settings.

If that ever changes, this page changes first, before the tag goes live, and the Privacy Policy gains the opt-out link the law requires.

Global Privacy Control

If your browser or an extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out of analytics and session recording on webtrigo.com, including the preview pages we send, and as a valid opt-out request under the state laws that recognize it. Several browsers send it by default and several extensions add it.

Your browser

Every browser can block or delete cookies, and most can block third-party ones without breaking a site like this. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will sign you out and may stop payment or preview pages working.

Ask us

Email hello@webtrigo.com and we will exclude your email address and your sessions from analytics and recording, and delete any recording we already hold of you. No form, no account needed.

Do Not Track

We do not act on the older “Do Not Track” browser header, which never got an agreed meaning across the industry. GPC is the signal that works.

Each of these has its own privacy policy, and the cookie names they use can change when they ship a new version of their software. The purposes above stay the same.

• PostHog, for analytics and session recording.
• Google, for tag management and analytics.
• Stripe, for payments.
• Tidio, for chat.
• Cal.com, for booking calls.
• Sentry, for error reports.
• Cloudflare and Amazon Web Services, for delivering the site.

We update this page whenever we add or remove a tool that sets cookies, and we review it at least once every 12 months. The date at the top is the date of this version.
